Executive Team

Tom McLeod is the President and Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Software, which he founded in 1985. He has long been active in the American Trucking Association, the Truckload Carriers Association, and the Alabama Trucking Association and has held leadership positions in the same. Tom is a thought leader in the transportation industry, specifically on the use of current and upcoming information technology to support trucking and brokerage operations.

Ben Barnes is the Chief Information Officer for McLeod Software. He joined McLeod in 1995, and was awarded the Alabama CIO of the year in 2021 for the corporate division. His leadership guides the company’s internal systems, business intelligence, data science, technology solutions, managed services, and customer centric information security policies, practices, and activities. Ben has a deep understanding of business solutions, IT infrastructures, disaster recovery planning, cyber security, and IT cloud provider solutions with accreditations from both Microsoft and IBM. Additionally, Ben is a current member of InspireCIO, and has had many of his presentations published in industry periodicals. He is a frequent presenter at transportation industry conferences on the subjects of cybercrime and systems security.

Robert Brothers is the Vice President of Product Development for McLeod Software. With over 25 years of experience in the transportation software industry, he is responsible for the development of the LoadMaster, PowerBroker, LoadMaster LTL, and Freight Management Solutions product lines offered by McLeod Software to the transportation industry. Since arriving at McLeod Software in 1992, he has held positions in customer implementations, as a direct Sales Representative, and as the Product Manager for the mobile communications products. Prior to joining McLeod Software, Robert worked as an accountant in private industry. Robert holds a B.A. in Accounting from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, and was a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Alabama.

Brian Doud is the Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer for McLeod Software. With more than 25 years of marketing experience at companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Lawler Ballard Van Durand, Synovus, and Thompson Tractor Company, he is responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of marketing communications initiatives for McLeod’s industry-leading products and services.  Brian holds a B.A. in Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from Emory University. 

Ahmed Ebrahim is the Vice President of Strategic Alliances for McLeod Software. He previously served as Vice President of Enterprise Consulting Services at McLeod for several years. Ahmed has 27 years of experience in IT Management/Consulting. Before joining McLeod Software in 2011, he was a Sr. Director at US Xpress, Inc. 

Joel Ellis is the Vice President of Enterprise Consulting Services (ECS) Operations for McLeod Software. He joined McLeod Software in 2018 and is a 30 year veteran with information management systems. Joel’s experience serving Fortune 500 companies with enterprise wide IT implementation projects over several decades brings great value for McLeod Software customers. Joel has worked as an analyst, team leader, project manager, and business unit manager.

Ken Germain is the Vice President of Enterprise Sales for McLeod Software. With more than 20 years of experience in enterprise software sales, logistics, and supply chain technology, Ken has built a proven track record of driving revenue growth, improving sales productivity, and scaling high-performing B2B sales organizations.

Throughout his career, Ken has consistently exceeded multimillion-dollar sales goals by building predictable pipelines, implementing data-driven sales processes, and developing effective go-to-market strategies. He brings deep expertise in enterprise sales methodologies, forecasting, pipeline management, and customer engagement, while fostering strong collaboration across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams.

In his role at McLeod Software, Ken partners with the company’s largest customers and prospects to deliver exceptional value through McLeod’s industry-leading transportation management solutions. He is passionate about helping transportation organizations solve complex business challenges and achieve long-term success through innovative technology.

Meribeth Gilbert, PHR SHRM-CP, is the Vice President of Human Resources for McLeod Software. She has more than 20 years of operational and strategic Human Resources management experience in rapidly growing organizations, including solid and broad experience in modern HR practices, organizational design, employee engagement, talent acquisition and management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training. 

Clint Hardy is the Vice President of Sales for McLeod Software. He joined the company in 2013 and oversees the company’s sales strategies, ensuring they align with the company’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions to the transportation and logistics industry. With over two decades of experience in technology-driven sales leadership, Clint is known for his ability to align cutting-edge solutions with customer needs, enhancing productivity and creating competitive advantages for customers. His expertise encompasses strategic planning, team management, and customer engagement, all of which contribute to his ability to lead high-performing sales teams and achieve organizational objectives. Based in Birmingham, Alabama, Clint is committed to advancing McLeod Software’s mission of providing top-tier software solutions to the transportation sector.

Adel Harika is the Chief Technology Officer of Imaging for McLeod Software. With more than 30 years at the company, Adel has played a pivotal role in pioneering imaging and automation solutions that have transformed how transportation companies operate. His work has helped customers increase efficiency, streamline processes, and embrace technology as a competitive advantage across the industry.

Mark Hughes is the Vice President of Administration and General Counsel for McLeod Software. He has been with McLeod for more than 30 years and is responsible for our Legal, Risk Management, Equipment and Facilities, and General Administrative teams. He is admitted to legal practice in the State of Alabama and holds certification in the Law of Data Security.  Mark has over 30 years of experience in the trucking industry and is active in the Alabama Trucking Association Safety Council, where he is also a past chairman.

Scott McGriff is Vice President of Engineering at McLeod Software. Since joining the company in 2004 as a Software Developer, he has held a variety of technical leadership roles. He began by developing custom solutions for Core and Enterprise customers before joining the Product Development team, where he helped build new product features and advance the architecture of McLeod’s software.

Today, Scott leads McLeod’s Technology Organization, overseeing software development for customer support and custom programming, quality assurance, software architecture, and AI enablement. He is committed to driving innovation through the technologies McLeod delivers to customers while continuously improving the internal processes and tools that enable teams to work more efficiently and deliver high-quality solutions.

Scott earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Auburn University.

Stacey Queen serves as the Chief Financial Officer for McLeod Software, bringing over 25 years of financial leadership experience. Prior to joining McLeod, she held the role of Vice President of Finance at several organizations. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong ability to foster collaboration, improve operational efficiency, and provide strategic financial guidance. In her role as CFO, Stacey works to connect finance with other departments, breaking down the traditional barriers of accounting. She leads McLeod’s financial operations with a focus on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and teamwork across all departments, ensuring the company’s continued growth and success.

Doug Schrier, Vice President of Growth and Special Projects at McLeod Software, is a driving force behind the company’s strategic expansion while upholding a customer-centric philosophy. With a comprehensive background encompassing over two decades of operations and strategic leadership, Doug has dedicated the past 15 years to the transportation sector. His impactful roles at Covenant Logistics and Transflo have honed his expertise and allowed him to champion innovation. Doug’s commitment to pioneering innovation remains unwavering, further solidifying McLeod Software as the premier TMS provider in the industry.

Missy Wright is the Vice President of Core Operations for McLeod Software. Missy has been an integral part of McLeod since 2005, contributing significantly to the company’s Sales and Enterprise Consulting Services (ECS) organizations, most recently serving as the Director of EDI Services. Throughout her career, Missy has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a commitment to customer service excellence, and a strong drive for results. Her expertise and passion bring great value for McLeod Software’s customers, as we continue to grow and innovate.
