Open Published Web Service APIs
McLeod Software offers a robust Application Program Interface (API) capability for our applications built on restful web services. Using the McLeod API module, customers who have the technical expertise can create their own integrations, and even external applications, by using web services.
While McLeod Software has developed a number of standard web service API’s to give our customers access to external solutions for capacity, load boards, mobile communications and tracking services, market pricing sources, and payment systems, we are making this systems integration process even faster and much easier with open published web service API’s.
McLeod APIs allow two-way access into LoadMaster and PowerBroker data, while using the same data validations and business rules that are inherent within the application. Using the API module, customers can create their own “bolt-on” applications using the full suite of available services to safely and efficiently develop that unique external application to provide an advantage or solve a problem.
The McLeod API supports a Representational State Transfer (REST) model for accessing a set of resources through a fixed set of operations. There is a library of dozens of McLeod supported and documented published services in the McLeod API module for specific functions and integrations with LoadMaster and PowerBroker. A full list of these functions, as well as a description for each, is available from your McLeod software representative. McLeod Software will also build custom API’s for our customers when the requirements of an integration are not met by those in our current API library.
