C.R. England Adopts McLeod's HirePower™
New imaging module from McLeod Software is saving time and improving the efficiency of the driver recruiting and hiring process for the leading motor carrier
Birmingham, Ala. – January 30, 2008 –
McLeod Software, a leading provider of dispatch, accounting and enterprise management solutions for trucking and brokerage firms, today announced that C.R. England, Inc. has purchased and implemented HirePower™, McLeod's powerful new module designed to reduce driver hiring time. HirePower streamlines driver recruiting through remote, paperless data entry of applications and a controlled, consistent application process.
"As one of the largest and fastest growing U.S. motor carriers, we always need to recruit more drivers," said Chad England, vice president, recruiting, training & safe driving. "Having outgrown our previous systems for processing driver applications, we began looking for the most effective method our recruiting and compliance staff could use to manage the driver hiring process. After we worked with McLeod Software to develop and test HirePower," England added, "we felt this new solution was the best option to help us process new drivers faster and make it easier for them to work with us."
Founded in 1920 and family owned and operated for four generations, C.R. England specializes in temperature-controlled freight transportation. With more than 3,600 tractors and 5,000 trailers, the Salt Lake City, Utah-based company offers long haul and regional service throughout North America. Having added more than 1,000 trucks to its operation in the past two years, C.R. England is continuously looking to increase its roster of more than 4,500 drivers and independent contractors. The company operates four driver training schools nationwide where individuals new to the industry can obtain their commercial driver licenses. The company hires qualified graduates of its driving schools as well as experienced drivers, independent contractors and graduates from other truck driving schools.
