McLeod Software Offers New Rapid Alert Notification System
LoadMaster module provides advance warning of service failures that enhances customer service

Birmingham, Ala. – October 4, 2007 – McLeod Software, a leading provider of dispatch, accounting and enterprise management solutions for trucking and brokerage firms, today announced at its annual Users’ Conference a new module for its LoadMaster® enterprise transportation management system. The Rapid Alert Notification System™ (RANS™) module is the latest in a series of new features added to LoadMaster to provide customers with advanced capabilities.

Taking McLeod’s popular Rapid Alert product one step further, the new RANS module allows user-defined thresholds with prompts either by email, a message window or a custom audible alert. This capability is in addition to color-coded alerts in LoadMaster.

“RANS turns LoadMaster into a proactive exception management system,” said Tom McLeod, president and founder of McLeod Software. “It gives customers the ability to rapidly and proactively respond to potential delivery failures and address issues as they happen so action can be taken before an issue becomes a major problem. Providing key decision makers with immediate real-time information will result in improved customer service and minimize errors.”

The RANS early warning module works likes a sensor, constantly searching for defined exceptions and providing instant notification as soon as a potential issue is detected. Utilizing management controlled settings, RANS sends an alert relating to any predefined data exceptions detected in LoadMaster.

RANS enables early warning alerts through many user-configurable settings, including:

  • Order Rate Alert when the rate per mile entered on the order drops below the rate per loaded miles set for notification
  • EDI Alert when load tenders are sent and/or received, filtered by partner
  • ETA/OOR Alert when the ETA of the tractor is late or if a tractor is out-of -route based on the current stop as well as if the ETA is late for the next stop on the order
  • Order Status Alert to notify billing staff when an order has been delivered or send an e-mail to a customer when an order has been put in progress
  • Order Comments Alert for dispatchers when an important note is added to an order or to let a billing clerk know about special instructions
  • Service Failure Alert to notify managers and dispatchers when failures are created or updated
  • Carrier Dispatch Alert to send brokers notifications when profit percentage is below a preset target and/or carrier pay is greater than the maximum pay per distance set
  • Empty Distance Alert to send alerts when an order’s empty distance exceeds a defined error threshold by percentage or number of miles
  • Driver Advance Alert when cumulative daily advances are greater than the set limit
  • Table Change Alert to monitor changes or additions to any record in the LoadMaster database
