Texas Freight Services Saves Time with McLeod’s Quick-Find™
Exclusive feature of McLeod Software’s LoadMaster® IX is optimizing search performance for the premium truckload carrier

Birmingham, ALabama – March 6, 2008 –McLeod Software, a leading provider of dispatch, accounting and operations transportation management software, announced today that Texas Freight Services, Inc. is already saving considerable management time by using one of the exclusive features in its newest software release. Upgrading to McLeod Software’s Version 9.1 LoadMaster® IX enterprise system in February 2009, Texas Freight is benefiting from its new, exclusive Quick-Find™ capability.

"Quick-Find enables us to very quickly and effectively search for and address any issues that arise within our operations," said Frank Ngu, operations manager at Texas Freight Services. "When our dispatchers are looking for information, it’s a significant time saver. It allows them to enter search criteria, such as a trailer number, and find what we’re looking for immediately, without having to go through menus or multiple screens. We fully expect Quick-Find to continue to enhance our company’s productivity in a measurable way."

Texas Freight Services, Inc., based in Houston, is a U.S. Customs Bonded local and regional truckload motor carrier. The privately owned and operated trucking company, founded in 1994 with two trucks, now employs over 120 people and operates more than 90 vehicles. In April 2007, Texas Freight Services moved into a new facility adjacent to George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Quick-Find allows users to find any word, name, number or combination of characters from key data in the LoadMaster database. Similar to Internet search engines, data is indexed and ranked by relevancy. Users simply double click one of the relevant items on the result list to drill down to the detailed record.

A more advanced search option is available that allows users to restrict their search to a single table in the database or expand their search to the full database. As an example, for a controller to find a particular invoice number, the selection can be restricted to the Receivables History data table instead of the entire database. Quick-Find is also available in McLeod’s PowerBroker™ II comprehensive product for brokerage and logistics providers.
