McLeod University Training Classes

McLeod University classes will be held on Wednesday, September 20, of the User Conference. These training classes are offered to those customers who participate in the conference. McLeod University provides advanced hands-on classroom training and instruction on various parts of our software systems. It is an optional part of the User Conference with a fee of $450/person per class. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.

Participants in McLeod University will receive up to five hours of advanced training, as described for each class, as well as breakfast, lunch, and a certificate of completion for your class.

Note: McLeod Software is working to obtain approval for CPE credits for some of these classes. We should know approximately one month prior to the conference which classes qualify and how many credits can be obtained for each.


Diagnosing Your Business and Acting on Your Analysis

In this class, Randy Seals will lead you through a set of daily and weekly best practices for using the tools in your LoadMaster system, such as standard reports, PDQ, Vital Signs and others to develop a consistent way of understanding your business, root cause, and gaining the insight to take the right action. This class is focused for carriers.

Financial Management with LoadMaster and PowerBroker

This two-part class will provide both financial report writing and advanced accounting training. Within the financial reporting portion of the class, we will focus first on the basics of financial report writing within LoadMaster/PowerBroker, and provide you the training and toolset to create many types of reports using the custom financials reporting tool. During the advanced accounting portion of the class, we will provide training on accounting modules, including Billing & AR, Settlements, Accounts Payable, and GL. This training will highlight best practices for important accounting tasks, such as rebilling, cash receipt adjustments, settlement processing, voucher processing, and end of period.

Analysis with McLeod IQ

In this class, we will take a deep dive into the McLeod IQ Business Intelligence product along with the Microsoft tools Excel and Power BI to perform a deeper level of analysis than has ever before been available for your McLeod LoadMaster/PowerBroker system. We will explore the use of both operational data and the new Financial Analysis portion of the McLeod IQ cube.

  • Microsoft Excel experience (Intermediate level)

  • Using LoadMaster or PowerBroker version 10 or higher
