McLeod Software Management Team
Tom McLeod is the President and Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Software, which he founded in 1985. He has long been active in the American Trucking Association, the Truckload Carriers Association, and the Alabama Trucking Association and has held leadership positions in the same. Tom is a thought leader in the trucking industry, specifically on the use of information technology to support trucking and brokerage operations.
Kasey Burleson is the Chief Financial Officer for McLeod Software. Kasey has been with McLeod Software for the last 4 years and is responsible for the company’s Accounting and Finance department. Kasey was previously the Chief Financial Officer for Zoe’s Kitchen.
Matt Cacace is the Chief Operating Officer for McLeod Software. He has been with McLeod for the last 14 years and is responsible for all customer facing and delivery services. Matt has 32 years of experience in the transportation industry, including his previous role as Vice President of Operations for US Xpress Enterprises in Chattanooga, TN.
Mark Cubine is the Vice President of Marketing for McLeod Software and is responsible for all of the company’s marketing programs and the strategic account sales program at McLeod. Mark has 25 years of experience working with Fortune 500 enterprises, including co-founding a systems integration company that assisted manufacturers to implement SAP and other enterprise-wide systems to support their supply chain operations. Mark is also co-author of the hardcover business book, Information Technology for Manufacturing: Reducing Costs and Expanding Capabilities.
Rick Halbrooks is the Vice President of Sales for McLeod Software. Rick has been with McLeod since 2004 and is responsible for all sales and business development for the company. Through his leadership, McLeod Software’s sales have consistently grown by more than 20% year over year ever since his arrival. Rick has over 30 years of experience in sales and senior sales management, including 8 years as the Vice President of Sales for ABM Graphics, 8 years as the Regional Vice President for Danka Industries, and 5 years as the President for Bank Partners Leasing.
Mark Hughes is the Operations Manager and General Counsel for McLeod Software. He has been with McLeod for 15 years and is responsible for our Legal, Risk Management, Human Resources, Equipment and Facilities, and General Administrative teams. Mark has 30 years of experience in the trucking industry and is active in the Alabama Trucking Association Safety Council, where he is also a past chairman.
Mack Killough is the Programming Manager for McLeod Software. He has been with McLeod for 18 years and is responsible for working with large projects and custom programming. Mack has 29 years of experience in Engineering, Programming, and Design, including past engineering work at the Department of Anesthesia Research at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), National Microsystems, Ropir Communications, and DSD Labs.
Rusty Watkins is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Information Officer for McLeod Software. He has been with McLeod for 23 years and is responsible for leading our Systems, IT, Internal Applications, Quality Assurance, Product Development and Architecture, and Data Services teams. Rusty has 32 years of experience in information technology, including 9 years of contract programming in technical, accounting, and retail software.
